Steve began his career after studying Forestry at Sir Sandford Fleming College. He worked as a Forest Technician for eight years in remote camps across Northern Ontario before joining the Algonquin Forestry Authority as a Silviculturalist. In this role, he became a Level 2 certified tree marker within an ISO 14001–registered organization focused on environmental management.

Steve later returned to Fleming College as a Professor, where he taught Soil and Water Science and Natural Resources Skills to first-year students. He then transitioned into the private sector, leading Sales and Marketing for Wood-Mizer Canada, working closely with branch managers and overseeing customer relations nationwide.

Building on this diverse background, Steve spent a decade in the financial industry with RBC and CIBC as a banking and investment specialist. Since joining Futurescape in 2022, he has continued to expand his expertise in the hardscape industry and contributes to a dynamic team and strong leadership group.

Outside of work, Steve enjoys spending time outdoors, working in his shop, riding his motorcycle, and cooking—especially barbecuing. Most importantly, he values time with his children
