EASYJoint is a ready-to-use, permeable jointing compound for natural stone and concrete paving.

How many containers do I need?

Coverage depends on paving-unit length and width, joint width, joint depth and the total paved area. Wider or deeper joints require more compound, so square footage alone is not enough to select a quantity.

Use the Azpects manufacturer coverage calculator with your actual paving and joint dimensions. Select EASYJoint, enter your project area in the calculator’s selected units, and check the container size before using the result. Round a fractional container requirement up to the next whole container.

This listing is for a 28 lb container. Azpects’ calculator identifies a 12.5 kg tub, while its current US product page lists a 44 lb package. Do not apply coverage figures for a different package size to this listing. Confirm the net weight on your container and the calculator’s package basis before ordering.

Wide-joint suitability

For joints at least 3 mm (approximately 1/8 inch) wide throughout their depth. For regular paving 25 mm thick or greater, the manufacturer specifies at least 25 mm (approximately 1 inch) of joint fill, finishing just below the paving surface. Thin paving 20–24 mm thick requires secure fixing to a solid, bound sub-base and joints filled to just below the surface. Confirm the paving and bedding system are suitable before application.

Use for patios, paths and pedestrian paving. The manufacturer’s technical data sheet states that original EASYJoint is not suitable for driveways; do not assume it is interchangeable with EASYJoint PRO.

Application and curing

  1. Read the manufacturer’s full instructions and precautions before starting. Clean the paving and remove loose dirt, oil, debris and grease.
  2. Thoroughly wet the paving. Open the bag, spread the compound and use a soft broom or squeegee to work it into the joints, keeping the area wet.
  3. Use a hose on a spray setting to flush and compact the compound into the joints. Top up settled joints and repeat until completely filled. Gently rinse to finish.
  4. Allow the water to drain and the paving to dry. Once dry, finish the joints with a suitable jointing tool if required.

EASYJoint cures through exposure to air, not by water activation like polymeric sand. Water assists placement and compaction; the joints must drain and dry for curing to proceed. Rain or continued wetness delays setting. Follow the manufacturer’s temperature guidance; below-freezing conditions require its separate dry-application method.

Do not pressure-wash the joints until cured for at least 14 days, and keep the nozzle at least 150 mm (6 inches) away.

Read the Azpects EASYJoint technical data sheet for complete suitability, application and care requirements.
