Landscape Foreperson

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Landscape Foreman to lead and oversee daily landscaping operations. This role is responsible for managing crews, coordinating project activities, and ensuring that all landscaping projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

The Landscape Foreman will work closely with management, team members, and clients to deliver high-quality landscaping services and maintain strong customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities for landscaping crews on residential and/or commercial projects.
  • Oversee all phases of landscaping work including site preparation, planting, irrigation installation, hardscaping, and landscape maintenance.
  • Lead, train, and mentor team members while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to company standards and client expectations.
  • Communicate with clients and management to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress.
  • Monitor job site safety and ensure all team members follow company safety policies and procedures.
  • Manage and maintain landscaping tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including schedules, work orders, and progress reports.
  • Assist in planning work schedules, assigning tasks, and coordinating resources for multiple projects.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years of landscaping experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of landscaping practices including plant identification, irrigation systems, hardscaping, and landscape maintenance.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices and equipment operation.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Skills (Optional but Valuable)

  • Experience operating landscaping equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, or trenchers.
  • Knowledge of irrigation system troubleshooting and repair.
  • Ability to read landscape plans and blueprints.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$33.00 per hour

  • Greater Sudbury, ON P3G 1M4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:
