Position Summary
Futurescape Landscaping is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Automotive
Service Technician (310S) to support the maintenance and repair of company light-
duty vehicles, pickups, small equipment, and support fleet assets used in
landscaping and snow removal operations.
This position is ideal for an individual who takes pride in quality workmanship,
preventative maintenance, and maintaining fleet reliability. The successful
candidate will work closely with operations and shop staff to ensure company
vehicles and equipment remain safe, compliant, and operational year-round.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain light-duty trucks, pickups, trailers,
and small engine equipment.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance including oil changes, tire
services, brake repairs, fluid checks, and scheduled inspections.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using computerized diagnostic
equipment.
- Complete repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and
company standards.
- Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and repair
documentation.
- Assist with fleet preparation and seasonal equipment changeovers.
- Identify safety concerns and repair needs proactively to minimize downtime.
- Support shop cleanliness, organization, and safe work practices.
- Work collaboratively with management and other technicians to prioritize
repairs and fleet readiness.
- Assist with minor field repairs and service calls as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Ontario Automotive Service Technician (310S) License.
- Minimum 3 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience.
- Strong knowledge of gasoline and light-duty diesel vehicles.
- Experience diagnosing electrical, brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain
systems.
- Ability to use scan tools and computerized diagnostic systems effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently.
- Valid G-Class driver’s license required
- Basic computer skills is required
- Experience with commercial fleet vehicles, trailers, and landscaping
equipment is considered an asset.
- Willingness to assist during peak winter operations when required.
